Reminiscence in its Purest Form
We are what we have lived and what we live. Memories are part of our personal identity in a kind of determinism that has brought us all to the point where we are now. At L'Onada Serveis, we are doing an exercise in reminiscence. And this for several reasons: the first, because we are in the middle of celebrating our 30th anniversary as an organization, and secondly because, among the different actions we have carried out for such a celebration, we have created Vintagering Gallery, an exhibition that offers the opportunity to do a positive memory exercise, where antique objects play a key role. Through the vision of tools and objects from past times, older people can relive memories of childhood and youth, evoking happy moments already lived and treasured in memory.
Relive your memories
We know from experience that this reminiscence exercise, which is both visual and communicative, has a profound impact on emotional and cognitive wellbeing. When a person looks at an object that was part of their life, memories full of meaning are immediately awakened: perhaps a kitchen tool from their mother, a toy they played with their siblings, or an item that brings to mind a specific memory of past times, always linked to positive emotions.
The conversations that arise from these objects help connect with the past, but most importantly, they encourage interaction and empathy among the elderly people we care for in our centers, their families, and even the neighbors, creating a space for collective memory.

Thus, Vintagering Gallery is an exhibition of objects that offers a unique and very special opportunity to celebrate life, rediscover personal stories, and, above all, enjoy the richness of memory as a source of health and wellbeing, in such a special year for us as is our 30th anniversary.
